During MCO, one of my Nintendo Switch Joy Cons SR button could not function, and without the joy cons that means I won’t be able to enjoy Overcooked with my family. So I tried to search online and I did find the reason why it’s not working. Also, I found the solution, which is to replace one faulty part in the joy con.
I did worry that there might be chances that I would make everything worse if I replace myself, but I took the risk though. (All because of the tutorial video looks simple and I did research through some websites and others references.)
Here’s the video that I refer to:
Thumbs up for the person in the video, he explained it in detail for changing the part. Thanks to the video uploader and the Internet, they saved my joy con, our family entertainment and also my wallet 😀
Cost: Spare Parts RM19.81
Time: 11 days for waiting spare parts and 30 minutes for changing the faulty part
Conclusion:
I’m a happy girl.
Not only did I save around RM300, my family got to enjoy the game too, so worth taking the risk.
First, money saved around RM75 for buying non original joy con or RM 300 for original Nintendo joy con. I would probably buy original ones if I have to replace mine so yeah, RM300 saved!
Second, I replaced it within 30 minutes. (Claps for myself HAHAHA) Also, it’s MCO that time, I either have to buy a new joy con or I need to wait until shops reopen to repair them. To me, it’s a good decision to take the risk.
