emlDo you know that you can do a nomination for your EPF savings? I never knew about the nomination until the end of 2020 a friend of mine told me about it. Only then, I realized many friends around me did not know about EPF Nomination either.
What is EPF Nomination?
According to the official EPF website, the nomination is for you to appoint an individual or institution to oversee your EPF savings in the event of your demise. (*touchwood*)
Why you should do EPF Nomination?
Three reasons provided by EPF website:
- It shortens the time of withdrawal
- Ensures your rightful heir inherits your savings
- Avoid the cost and hassle of obtaining third party documents from the land office/court

How You Can Do EPF Nomination?
You can now make an appointment to visit the KWSP office through Janji Temu Online and complete your nomination on the spot.
If you would like to take your time to fill in the nomination form at the comfort of your home, now you also can do it online. However, you still required to pass the form and verify your thumbprints at the office.
Step by step guide to Fill in Nomination Form (KWSP4) Online
1. Login to your i-Akaun
First, log in your i-Akaun.
2. Click “Nomination” from Top Banner
After you login, you able to found the “Nomination” selection on the top banner of the page.
3. Select “Nomination Registration”
Select the “Nomination Registration”, it is at the bar on your left.
4. Go to “Click here to update”
Apologize as from this point onwards, I am unable to provide a screenshot due to I have done my nomination, so the page showing is different.
There will be a button with “Click here to update”, click into it.
5. Update Your Details
You will now at your “My Profile” page. Check and update your details accordingly. After confirming the details are recorded correctly, then you could submit the details.
6. Go to “Nomination” and Update the Nominee Details
Fill in the details of your nominee(s):
1. Name
2. Identity Card Number
3. Birthday
4. Relationship
5. Percentage allocation
Remember to fill in the details correctly before you submit!
7. Print Out The Form and Thumbprints (at the Right Hand Corner of the Form)

8. Pass the form to KWSP office and Verify Your Thumbprints
Viola, you have done your EPF Nomination.
