How To Pay PTPTN Online?
Ever wonder how to pay PTPTN online? Don’t worry you are not alone.
Early this year, I got a letter from PTPTN informed that I have to start paying back my student loan (PTPTN). As I am the eldest child in the household, no one knows what to do after receiving the letter.
I went around my friends to ask for advice. As expected, half of them are as confused as I am, and another half did lead me on what to do.
If you are as confused as I was, don’t worry. I will show a few ways on how to pay your PTPTN online below.
7 Ways Showing How To Pay PTPTN Online
PTPTN Website
The most direct way to pay your PTPTN loan probably would be the official website.
After PTPTN login, you will see a menu on the left-hand side. Select the option “Penyata Baki”.
It will bring you to another page, scroll to the bottom, you will see something like the photo above. Tick anything that is relevant, key in the amount that you would like to pay, then click “Bayar”.
Now you will be at the PTPTN Online Payment Gateway. You can either pay by FPX or by card, whichever you prefer.
Direct Debit Setup
Other than paying it manually through the website, you can also set up a Direct Debit for your PTPTN payment.
Same as the previous method. After PTPTN login, you will see a menu on the left-hand side. Select the option “Penyata Baki”.
It will bring you to another page, scroll to the bottom and click on the “Pendaftaran untuk Direct Debit” to set it up. After setting up the Direct Debit, your PTPTN payment will automatically debit from your Bank Account according to the details you set up.
This method is suitable for those who don’t have much time on hand or those who tend to forget and miss their payment.
JomPAY
If you do not want to log in to the PTPTN portal, then you might consider using JomPAY. JomPAY service is widely available among 42 banks, such as Maybank, Public Bank and CIMB Bank. The only thing is you need to know your PTPTN JomPAY details in order to make payment.
In order to get the JomPAY details, you may check the details through the PTPTN website. Key in your Identity Card Number and it will show you the PTPTN JomPAY details.
Online Banking Bills Payment
If you find it troublesome to get the JomPAY details, another alternative is to pay directly using the Bills Payment method on your Internet Banking. For example, Maybank2u, CIMB clicks and many more.
As usual, log in to your online banking, go for bills and look for PTPTN in order to make payment.
**It may have additional charges if you are using this method. The charges vary from bank to bank.
TNG E-wallet
Now you can also use TNG e-wallet to pay for your PTPTN payment. First, go to “Bills”.
Under the “Payments” section, you will see the options of PTPTN. Select whichever that applicable to you.
In order to pay by TNG e-wallet, you are required to key in your PTPTN Account Number. There is a minimum payment of RM10.00 and a surcharge of RM1.00. For instance, if you want to pay RM300, you should include the surcharge of RM1.00 and enter the amount as RM301.
For those who wonder how to get your PTPTN Account Number, again after PTPTN login, you will see a menu on the left-hand side. Select the option “Penyata Baki”.
It will bring you to another page, scroll to the bottom and click on the “Semakan No Pinjaman”. You can find the “No Pinjaman” on the next page.
Boost E-wallet
Other than the TNG e-wallet, Boost also offered payment for PTPTN on their app. On the front page, select “Pay Bills”.
Go to the “Loan & Savings” section, you will find PTPTN under this section.
Once you key in your Identity Card number, all you need to do is follow the payment process. If you pay by Boost, it has a minimum payment of RM10 and the surcharge is RM1 as well.
Shopee
As for Shopee, on the main page, click on the “Tickets, Top-ups & Bills” icon.
PTPTN will be under the Bills section.
Similarly, you need to key in your Identity Card Number then follow the payment process will do. Same as TNG e-wallet and Boost, the minimum payment is RM10 and the service fee is RM1.00.
Among all the methods above, I hope you find one that eases your PTPTN payment.
I personally prefer Shopee and Boost as they only need requiring your NRIC for payment, although they do have a surcharge of RM1 for every transaction made.
